he's much tougher to trade then Price. and the return on him would be very little.

You'd have to move Weber right now, before the rest of the league notices he's cooked.

16 games played and yet he only gets 3g , 6 passes for a thin 11 total ; i agree with you, he's far to produce like he should do. The guy is finished but i don't see the need to trade him when we could probably only receive a late pick in the 6th or 7th round

Because trading a player too late is always preferable to trading too early.

Almost all of your posts take a shot at other fans. It can't be easy to live with constant insecurity and I hope you get better.

Yes, his shot is gone, he's getting exposed nightly with his lack of foot speed.. there's a reason why Petry is trusted more than Weber this year. He's not a top pairing defenseman anymore.
I agree, it just makes him a productive 2nd pairing guy......he’s far from “cooked”

Don't think there's gonna be too many teams lining up to pay good assets for a 2nd pairing guy, on the decline, who's making top 10 defenseman money in the league.

Nope.....that’s why I never toy with the idea of him being gone, he’s here to stay. Well just have to deal with his steady decline and 15 goals a season

Weber's skills are eroding but showed against Boston Perfection line, he is still one of best shutdown defensemen in league.

Along the boards, he's the same. I always wonder if Weber is playing while being injured. That being said, what I'm sure off officially is that there's explicit things who me shows me signs of regression. We aren't depending on him anymore like before.

Agree. We need more posters taking the high road, like yourself.

His shot is not gone.

He was trusted over Petry to take on the Bergeron-Paternak-Marchand line. For good or bad, he was and that is a fact.

i'm a Weber fan but that's just not true.
Weber is no longer elite. He struggles and is breaking down. He still has moments but he's regressing. Just being honest.
Oh, for sure he's aging yet he's still a better all around defenseman then Petry. Jeff has way too many brain farts to ever be a #1 guy. What's great is both guys are at the point in their career where Shea can focus more on shutting lines down and Jeff can help the team offensively. It's a nice combo for us right now.

He may have lost a bit of a step but he is still on track to have one his best offensive seasons. CJ is managing his minutes pretty good so far this year.

Ill take a 55+ point Weber on my team no problem.

 What have you done here with me ? you are a bad boy too

I used the term Fans base, i was talking at large, not about the 2 fans 1've quoted specifically . (And i am not the first one to talk about this incredible fan base)

My post was also showing something going in another direction than the ones i quoted ; it wasn't an empty post just to take a shot .

I don't think that treading Weber right now is a good idea, and in the end , i would add that because of his leadership, he 's not only a player i would keep with the team during his career but also after .He's the kind of man i want to see a part of the organization
