While reading this thread and update about Ghost being possibly out long term, right after also reading the other nikishin draft prospect thread and our GM finally saying out loud we expect Nikishin signing at end of his season……. Never want anything to happen to one of our players…. ghost has been very very good for us this year and helped our PP for sure.. but seeing both threads almost back to back right now as I catch up on forum reading it had me about to do the exact same reply you just did… you beat me to the same comment .Ghost long-term? Well then, Nikishin will slot nicely there for the playoffs.
KHL season ends 3/23. If his team gets knocked out in the first round he is available for our playoffs. If they make it to 2nd round I suspect we would have to win a round for him to play. While reading the thread and update about him being possibly out long term, the other nikishin updates about him signing at end of his season had me about to do the exact same reply… beat me to it . Sure looks like we have a spot available for Nikishin to walk into on the third pair to start…………
was back at practice albeit was limitedHas anyone heard anything about his prognosis beyond “out a while”? The power play has gone straight down the toilet without him

One of Russian bloggers posted that his actual contract doesn’t expire until late May. They expressed some concern about the optics and protocol re: how the Canes handle this situation. So that we/he don’t find ourselves in the same spot other teams have with high profile players over there.KHL season ends 3/23. Interesting (was it Uggg?). I would think that recognizing the great work he did for the KHL club, that they would release him once the season is over. Of course, Dundon may need to be nice to that club too....One of Russian bloggers posted that his actual contract doesn’t expire until late May. It was right after the Tulsky in game interview when he spoke about him.
At that point he would just have to buy out the remainder of the contract right? Unless they agreed to mutually terminate it. I’d think he could handle 2 months that he’d make back in a hurry over here. One of Russian bloggers posted that his actual contract doesn’t expire until late May. watching those 2 goals he scored today certainly racks up the anticipationAt that point he would just have to buy out the remainder of the contract right? Unless they agreed to mutually terminate it. I’d think he could handle 2 months that he’d make back in a hurry over here.
Well we did just let Kuzy walk to them so I imagine the relationship is as good as it can be. The rumored Orlov jump to replace Nikishin next season would also soften the blow. That could still be bs though.Interesting (was it Uggg?). I would think that recognizing the great work he did for the KHL club, that they would release him once the season is over. why in the world would Orlov leave the NHL? lolWell we did just let Kuzy walk to them so I imagine the relationship is as good as it can be. The rumored Orlov jump to replace Nikishin next season would also soften the blow. That could still be bs though.
