TSN: Shawn Simpson passed away.

At a time of international anger and stress Simmer was an intelligent, funny and light hearted antidote to the miseries of the world and a constant reminder of how lucky we are to live in Ottawa, Canada.

Huge lose.

I’m taking my mayo out of the fridge tonight in memory

What in the f*** news to wake up to. I didn't agree with a lot of his takes but he was easily the most entertaining and engaging hockey media personality in a city full of milk toast media that were boring to listen to or watch.

He was the last good thing about TSN1200, and that station wasn't the same since he left.

I was worried when he suddenly left the CIH podcast. I suppose he wasnt in good health then.

RIP to a legend.

Horrible news. Simmer was really great to listen to on the radio, and genuinely sounded like a good person. My deepest condolences to all his family and friends, and to everyone at Team 1200.

I was pondering this, did they arrive address why he left CIH?

RIP Simmer. Met him once, such a ball of energy and positive guy. He was a good addition to Coming In Hot with Brent Wallace and Jason York. He will be missed, in the Ottawa hockey community.

I was wondering that as well. All of a sudden he wasn't on the show. And I was wondering if they ever addressed why Bobby Ryan left Coming in Hot as well.

Very sad and shocking news to hear he has died. Simmer had a great sense of humour and had some real honest takes about the Sens.
