There'd be too many sticks hitting heads and necks and faces. I always wince when I see someone flailing around with their stick way over their head.
Judging by the size of the end zone I'm guessing it's a cfl game.LMFAO
EDIT: Is that the Sabrecats in white?
How did Braun look over Ryan?
This exactly. There is a penalty for hitting someone so if you are skillful/smart enough not to then you should be able to make the play.Really? I don't see the rule stopping anyone from trying to knock down high pucks. And it's a penalty already for high sticking. Get rid of the ****ing rule. It's stupid.
This rule and having your skate on the ice for offsides are two that bother meThis exactly. There is a penalty for hitting someone so if you are skillful/smart enough not to then you should be able to make the play.
It would be attempted a lot more than it is now; it really is for player safety. The same logic why kicking the puck will never be allowed, even though that could be a "skill" as well. This exactly. Currently it doesn't seem like people aren't trying. Killing the play is beneficial most times. Better than getting beaten or turning it over.It would be attempted a lot more than it is now; it really is for player safety. Yeah but it would be tried all the time with 0 hesitation without the current rule.Currently it doesn't seem like people aren't trying. Killing the play is beneficial most times. Better than getting beaten or turning it over.

As it is right now, it's not done that often and it only happens at the blue line. There is 0 hesitation now
It happens every game and usually in the neutral zone. Too risky at blue line.As it is right now, it's not done that often and it only happens at the blue line.
Make it a 4 min penaltyYeah but it would be tried all the time with 0 hesitation without the current rule.
8 goals allowed the last 5 games.

Should keep a percentage of SNOG attempts vs wins.
Everybody's would be ridiculously low except for possibly some flukes. This is for fun, not tiny percentages.
May Vlasic never see tough competition ever again
I think we can get away from a hard shutdown pairing now that we have 3 pairings play at a high level defensively.Agreed. Shelter Vlasic-Braun and use Dillon-EK65 as the shutdown pair

Vlasic is not a bottom-pairing D-man. He is still very much a top-4 D-man and will be for years to come as long as he plays to his strengths. We can't move forward successfully with a bottom pairing d-man who makes $7MM for the next 7 years.
Doesn't appear that he wants any part of his strengths...Vlasic is not a bottom-pairing D-man. He is still very much a top-4 D-man and will be for years to come as long as he plays to his strengths.
