Always enjoy the Ducks's relentless forecheck and excellent ability to close off space. It really works well against teams like SJ.

Was Irwin really that bad? I don't think he was any particularly worse many of the players tonight...

Telling that Petrecki got so little ice time; coaching staff had little confidence in him.

Yeah, I can't see Petrecki playing for a while since Boyle was only out with the flu.

Also doesnt help he didnt particularly impress either. Hope he gets another chance so though, one of the most promising prospects from Capital District, NY in recent memory.

Stuart's been great and has fit right in... No Boyle, get out played, still beat the Quacks.

Handguns makes his money in the 5th period, the way he skated down and scored on Hiller was about the fastest I've seen him skate in teal.

Petrecki? Meh... Gomez with the assist on Logan's GWG! Niemi let's in beahcucueman's crap angle fling for another signature Nemo softy, we got justice. :naughty:

Not signing Winnik is just bugging me more and more. Guy is awesome and almost owned us tonight and I was about to rage

He didn't look like he knew what to do when he was behind the net for those 5 seconds.

Yeah I think Vlasic was overworked. He tried to push the puck offensively a few times. Really not his strength. He also had to cover for Irwin, who was BAD, and played way more than he's used to.

Irwin had trouble handling the simplest breakout passes tonight. First time I've seen him nervous with the puck.

He was scared with out his daddy Boyle.

Liked how aggressive Braun was playing toward the end.

Even though Im a Ducks fan, I was pulling hard for Petrecki, I hope he gets another chance and impresses. Hes from my area and I went to a hockey camp with him when I was younger and he was amazing lol. Im guessing heil be out of the lineup next game?

Depends how long Boyle is sick for.

Didn't have any options. That was a terrible sequence by everyone.

The other defenseman needs to get back behind the red line, or the center should skate in behind the net, or a winger circle back and give a pass option on the move. The way they hung him out to dry was weird, dangerous, and ate up a lot of time.

Sounds like this was a good game to miss. I only caught the second half of the first.

Boyle had better be better by Thursday. I don't want to ice that horrible defense against Hall, Yakupov, and Nugent-Hopkins.

Anyway, good for Stuey for really bringing it. I was not expecting him to be nearly this good.

He played very very poorly. Good 1st, bad 2nd, horrible 3rd.

I understand that Murray is everyone's favorite whipping boy this year, but this was his best game yet this season...paired up with a rookie, he had his positioning down, and didn't blatantly get beat despite being slow as usual. Compared to how Vlasic played? Murray was not a problem at all tonight, and hedican even complimented his play.

I was definitely impressed with Braun and Stuart. It is good to know that you have players like that that can play above their roles for at least short period of times...I imagine that Stuart is doing just that, but Braun is really better than the bottom-pairing player he is being used as.

I thought Vlasic actually played better than people are giving him credit for. In my opinion, Murray and Irwin were the worst ones tonight. Best game this season really doesn't mean much considering he hasn't had a good game yet.

Not too sure about that. Stuart has been playing like a #2 since the start of the season. He was a #2/#3 every season except last season in Detroit as well.
