Vancouver is desperately trying to clinch the playoff spot for the Oilers. A couple more losses and they the Oilers won't have to win another game, assuming Calgary also tanks.

Oilers need to go for home ice. It's so frustrating that they blew the division, home ice does matter in the playoffs. They have to win tonight and against the Kings on Saturday to have a shot, I think Rodrigue gets the Anaheim game if Skinner isn't back by then.
I would choose healthy and rested over home ice advantage.

No.....more like 850 lol

Haha every single time there is an 8:30 California start its 8:50. Only there, only that time. The 7pm starts drop at 7:08. Weeknight in California? Why not wait another twenty minutes.

I slept like garbage last night, so yay for this start time. Oh well, training for the first round I guess when everything will start at 8-9.

Hmmm so we face..

Non playoff team SJS
Playoff team LAK
Non playoff team ANA
Playoff team STL
Non playoff team SJS

And we are running our #2 and #3 goalies. This seems like a question for a child's homework. Which games would you use your #2 and which games would you use your #3?

They are seriously going to give Pickard five straight starts? Rest him for LA, its the obvious choice.

Let's be reality(TM) we're running our best and third best goalie.

I'm guessing Knob will be playing Rodrigue once the Oilers are mathematically in the playoffs. That kind of falls on the Anaheim game if the Oilers beat Kings and Sharks
We'll probably still be in the hunt for 2nd place going into the last few games of the season. Don't think he'll risk it and just keep running Skinner/Pickard.

Lord. Give Rodrigue the start. It’s the Sharks we are facing here. He’s earned it, having toiled in the system as long as he has. It benefits the club to see what we have in these kids and it gives the youngsters, all of them, motivation that if they keep working they will get to be showcased.

I agree. He's only 20 months younger than Skinner. At some point you have to test him in the NHL, unless he is no longer part of their plans.

I mean at this point, he needs 28 games over the next 90 Oiler games to not be a UFA next summer so you're likely losing him regardless within the next 14 months if you don't start trying him out. If he was 7 days older he'd be a UFA this summer. Might as well see what you got.
