Kind of wild we'd be in the playoffs in the East. Hopefully the Flames get their first break of the season on Tuesday and hold their own fate in their hands. Lots to like with this group of players, don't think we'll be wandering in the darkness all that long.

9-2-3 our last 14. STL just had to go on that streak to one up us.

Here's to a modicum of help Tuesday and a spirited effort from the hometown heroes.
Regardless of whether we make the playoffs or not, this stretch here shows the teams potential. Second most cap space in the league, a huge wave of youth incoming and progressing on the team, and down the stretch they’ve been playing some fantastic hockey and collecting points at an amazing rate.

I’m obviously more optimistic than most, but this teams performance during the toughest part of the season in year one of a retool is plenty of reason for hope.

We could miss the playoffs for the 3rd consecutive season, while having more points than another playoff team in 2 of the 3 years, with one of those teams we had more points than making the cup finals.

We would be in a divisional spot in the Metro for crying out loud.

I don't know that it's wild at all. Seems like the two conferences have been fairly mismatched this season.

And haven't the Flames missed the playoffs while an Eastern team gets in with the same number of points or fewer at least twice in recent years? The one I remember most clearly is Florida (who then went to the Cup final).
