So he hasn't improved in that area
Not really. It's frustrating because he's shown that he has the ability, it just seems like he doesn't care enough to do it consistently.

Dickinson having another strong game IMO.

As an aside, can anyone who really knows puck explain to me this absolutely unhinged tape job Halttunen has? I tape just about 60% of my stick to protect it because I can't just get new sticks all willy-nilly like some pro hockey player, so this is is beyond me.

I’d assume it’s just some kind of superstition.

A little, but Pastrnak has explained that he always used tape that way because he grew up not being able to afford a bunch of tape. He doesn't really have an explanation for what about it he likes other than that it feels good and it's what he's used to. I wonder if there's an actual purpose to Halttunen's.

The London Knights may never lose again. I can't strictly root for them because of the recruiting advantages they have (or because Chelsea Dagger is their goal song 🤮) but I'm always entertained when I watch them. A lot of times when I watch prospects I tend to let my attention drift when the guy I want to watch isn't on the ice, but I don't do that with London because they're genuinely fun to watch and play great hockey. They basically have three first lines and three #1D. Just ridiculous at this point. Anything less than an OHL Championship and Mem Cup win would be a disappointment for this season.

So he hasn't improved in that area
The positive way to look at it is that he's played a couple games in the past couple months and like 15 all season, so it's not like he's really had an opportunity to improve much.

At this point, I wouldn't expect much of anything in that regard until he comes to San Jose and starts to learn some hard lessons and gets some tough love. I'm actually really fascinated to see how his game translates to the Barracuda. Low key one of the biggest and most interesting storylines, I'm guessing, of next season.

Yeah, kinda hard to expect that his off-puck play would be much different when he's barely played this year. Those habits aren't going to change overnight.
