Damn I thought Dickinson would have a big role for Team Canada but he’s already a scratch for their first pre tournament game. Was hoping to see how he would fare in this tournament

Not shocking considering their treatment of 2024 draftees. I'm just happy he's even there.

The glass half full view is that they're using the game to test depth pairings and the order to sort things out and Dickinson is held out because his spot is secure.

But the reality is that hockey canada hates young guys if they aren't super elite talents and would easily scratch him so they can have a grindey 3rd pairing that will routinely get caved in because they're slaves to "proper" linueup construction.

he was planned too until he got walked by some loser who they had to reluctantly invite to camp, so now theyre trying to save face.
