I actually put my money where my mouth is and canceled my subscription. I signed up when David Pollak joined, and the coverage has gone downhill since. I really wish there was better knowledge-based hockey coverage out there that wasn't half-baked fan takes and major market knob gobbling. Anybody got a recommendation beyond Jack Han's substack?

It seemed like a puzzling business model, but perhaps I'm just stuck in the old ways.

If there's no dedicated writer covering the Sharks then there's no reason for me to subscribe...
I still like their Blue Jays and Raptors coverage and some of the broad stuff like draft coverage. But losing so many best writers will cripple them. Especially when NYT claims that the "issue" with nhl coverage is that it's so local. So they solve that by making it less locally invested

Just cancelled. They give this offer if you start the cancelation process, FYI

He had his son back for Jr Sharks tryouts so him moving back is likely.
I thought the Sharks offered him a job? But then a little searching seems to indicate the Marleaus have moved to Florida.

Ugh. Wouldn't wish Florida onto anyone.

EDIT: most of the "moved to Florida" articles have 2022 dates. So maybe he's moving back.
