Thanks for the heads up LS on the Marleau merch auctions. From what I know, only the Karlsson, Hertl, Kahkonen, Svechnikov, and Sturm game worn jerseys from the Marleau game were sold at the equipment stand at the Tank. There was rumor the Bonino would go up at auction, so curious what happened (or will happen) to the other sweaters. The folks working the booth didn't think they would get any more, and didn't think they would be at the end of the year equipment sale either. Cool to see the Murray and Brown game-worn Legends sweaters available too, I thought all of the players would keep those.

Fully agree, not only was Ferguson’s initial inclination terribly wrong. His rationale for changing was completely asinine.

Task failed successfully, I guess.
That sort of story is why you shouldn't take these 'professionals' seriously. This sort of shit is still very prevalent in those circles.

I'm OK with a scout having been high on Jokinen; he obviously was a very good player if not without his flaws. But to be so heavy-set on one player and to have one interaction flip his mind completely points to an unseriousness and lack of rigor.

Also, all things considered, I'd definitely have preferred Hossa over Marleau

Good thing Ferguson Sr. didn't see all the guys who were in that range dancing. 2nd overall to the San Jose Sharks, Nick Boynton.
