You right as the numbers stand but they could have been adjusted IMO. I am not a believer in the owners caring about the Devils as a sport team and it's fans. They are not about winning the cup in 3 or 4 years.
I think this is ridiculous when the Devils are capped out team and they are spending money on players. They're continuing to attempt to improve the Rock and more importantly the community area around the arena. They're doing things to help build the brand of the Devils. Harris tweets after every win. What more do you want the owners to do exactly? Why does it matter? If they didn't care I think Shero would still be captain of the ship.

Hilarious to me that people are shitting on the fans already cause of a 3 game winning streak that includes wins over 2 of the worst teams in the league. Do I want Ruff to succeed? Of course, why would anyone who is an actual fan of this team want us to suck yet again? But lets hold the horses on that this whole thing is turned around...

They're chanting "Shut your piehole, Pagnotta"

The owners have been perfect since they bought the team. Tore it down when it needed to be tore down. Spent to the cap when it was time to say, "let's go".

You want to say that wasn't the owners? Then that's great too. Hire the right people at the top and stay out of it.

These owners spent to the Cap, really? Spent to the required numbers. I don't agree that the owners want a Cup today or yesterday. Fill enough seats is the goal.

Agreed.

Which is why the ''You need to eat crow on Blackwood'' stuff is also way too premature.

I have said I thought fans were a bit quick with the opening night boos for Ruff after just one loss and then the ''Fire Lindy!'' chant in what was gonna be the second loss.

At the same time. I think they have the right to express that and it's good that the fanbase is becoming more vocal, but I thought maybe it was a little premature.

I never expect anything like that in the home opener.

Ummm, what fills the seats better than winning?

Better pricing tiers for tickets and fan friendly concession stand prices.

Winning definitely helps but our team needs to do more than just win to draw consistent crowds.

The drop off in atmosphere and attendance from the home opener to the Ducks and Sharks games was like night and day.

Solid Game;

In regards to the 11F 7D lineup, it’s ingenious.

My only Negatives:

1) Smith is Meh
2) Holtz should play or be sent down.

Positive:

1) The Devils are winning!!
2) Smith is the most serviceable “goon”.
3)This allows for flexibility without having to “f*+k” with the lines.

I don’t see this line-up as unsustainable. How many times do we see the 4th line get cauterized during a game? All the time. The super-friends are great defensive forwards, but can use a kick offensively. Why not give Bratt or Hughes (the best play drivers) more time? Or Rango for scoring punch.

Plus, they were swapping Mercer and Jack for different draws.

Thanks for the dog food. I will buy my tickets for the second round of the playoffs now.

Um... Well basically the home opener was practically a full house. So its only one way to change there.

I thought there were more today than the ducks game. Certainly quite loud today for sure and very engaged. Crowd will come through if they string a few more complete wins like they did.

Somehow convince everyone that every game is the home opener? 🤔

Satan, Devils fans like those high prices, they keep asking for higher prices by accepting the product on the ice, paying today's price and showing up when they don't even make the playoffs.

I think the fans voicing their opinions like they did at the home opener and 1st period of the ducks game sends a better message than just empty seats but I'm a sucker who supports the team financially no matter what so what the f*** do I know lol

Better prices are simply never happening. Sucks but it's not as if they're out of line with all the other teams in the area. Do you think dollar hot dog nightback in the day was really packing the house? I can assure you it wasn't. And as someone else pointed out they are and have been since taking making signicant upgrades to the arena itself.

The drop off in attendance and atmosphere happens this time of year every single season for a varietyof reasons, but doesn't help that we're playing some of the worst teams in the league no one here cares about.

The sky is not falling, they'll get a slight Thanksgiving bump, Christmas time sales, a few rivalry ones sprinkled in between, and if the team is competitive it should continue to rise through January.

That's how it works at that place and exactly how it always has. Keep spending to the cap and eventually ice a consistent contender will be how you have 13, 14, and 15k people in the stands on the regular. Not $7 beers and $3 hot dogs.

It works and our arena being the first in our area to do it would be super smart and make a lot of news around here...

Fans have the right to alert staff and management of our expectations. I see no issue with the chants this early on. The time is now with this squad. No excuses.
I have to say, that back in the day when we were good, attendance was a little embarrassing.

But given how long we have been a bad team, I think attendance has been pretty good in recent years.

I have to be fair.

Tatar lead the team in on ice corsi and shots, while also having a high defensive draw rate.

Not sure the comp, guessing Nico saw the more difficult matchups, but good on ice with a low offensive draw rate is a good combo in my book.

By comparison, Bahl's impressive corsi, in light of his 80% offensive draw rate leaves me skeptical.
