Injury Report: Sharks/Barracuda 2025-26 Cardwell, Lund out for season

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Xenforo Cloud is upgrading us to version 2.3.11 on Monday July 20, 2026 at 12:00 AM PST. Expect a temporary downtime during this process. More info here
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.

I believe this is what the kids call sus these days.

For the life of me, I don't get why teams are so secretive about injuries in the preseason. It's not like someone is going to go out there and target Mack in a meaningless exhibition game.

Especially since this has been described as an illness and only as an illness. How do you target or protect an illness on the ice? Makes me think he has mono or something.

Or Covid or a bad flu. If he’s feeling weak he can still practice basic things but shouldn’t be pushing himself to the point of exhaustion.

Yeah, I thought about that, but would normally expect flu/covid to be openly disclosed. Whereas something like mono could carry a stigma, so they might not be as open about it.

Hope I'm wrong anyway.
