During every player of the game ceremony when the announcer brings up the painted canoe paddle it always sounds like he says "towel" and I have a brief "wtf?" moment.

Also maybe get someone else to hand out the paddles after that dopey kid tried to make himself a into ameme during the ceremony.

Watched the game on delay tonight and was quite pleased with Dickinson's performance. Once he started to get more regular shifts late in the first and then on starting the second, he really seemed to settle in.

I thought he made a concerted effort to play a focused defensive game tonight--playing well positionally, using his body and stick effectively, and not going wandering much. A very disciplined game, which can't be easy for him coming from playing a more adventurous, offensive-minded role for London.

He did well under pressure, even if you could occasionally see those moments creep in of indecision, but again, a concerted effort to just make the smart, often simple play, and that was really beneficial to the team when they were under the cosh in their own zone--he did well to ease pressure and get the puck moving so it could get out of the zone. And I still am enamored by his size/skating combo.

Of course, the whole game was pretty much dominated by Canada, so it was hard to take much out of Halttunen's performance (he's only ever going to be so effective playing without the puck). Still very dangerous on the power play even though opponents are clearly onto him and game-planning for him.

No. I'm not quite sure how to classify it. It started out as an automotive store way back in the, but it has expanded out to carry basically everything short of significant groceries. It also tends to have a better selection of housewares, yardwork stuff, and tools than something like Walmart. If I need tools or the like and don't need something specialized enough to need to go to Home Depot then chances are I'll go to Canadian Tire because it's cheaper and has a better product warranty (all their house brand tools have a pretty much no-questions-asked lifetime guarantee as long as you have the receipt.) They're also better than something like Walmart for sporting goods, household storage (plastic totes and bins) and "utility" furniture like dressers, cabinets, shelving units, etc, and kitchen wares.

Don't forget Canadian Tire money

I really liked Schaefer's game - I would not be disappointed in him at 1OA at the moment.
