The thing I worry about is that Rust was taking advantage of space that Guentzel gave him. Teams targeted Guentzel in a way that no other LW is going draw. Can Rust play as well when he's a primary focus of the defense?
Bc he sucks at CWhy not try Galchenyuk at Center until Sid\Bjugstad comes back?

Rust was playing well before Jake got put on that line though, right? It was only a handful of games, but still. The thing I worry about is that Rust was taking advantage of space that Guentzel gave him. Teams targeted Guentzel in a way that no other LW is going draw. Can Rust play as well when he's a primary focus of the defense?

Yes, but at some point it because less about what's fair to Galchenyuk and more about what is needed from Malkin, because the Malkin we're getting with Galchenyuk isn't good enough (like earlier in the season).
That guy should have been the one hitting tang's helmet.
that would have been much more funny .... and true
Hey, man... on fair. Malkin is playing a pretty terrible game here. I'm his biggest fan, but maybe it is not on Chucky that G is cheating, looping, skating into crowds and generally looking disconnected in this one. It happens.
Too much narrative chasing here, IMO.
It's not crazy that he would try to do too much the first game Jake is out. Then it's quite the coincidence, I suppose.
It's obvious that Geno's heart broken he lost jake for the year. Then it's quite the coincidence, I suppose.
