I still dont see the Sharks getting a good enough young RD in a trade to justify passing up on a Chase Reid or whichever they have as the highest rated Dman at the draft. Not to mention the fact that Dman would be on an ELC just as Celebrini is entering his prime.

As for the Hawks, I definitely see the 4th overall in play. I think there's alot of pressure in Chicago to take some steps forward and be in a playoff contention in what will be year 4 for Bedard.

To Chicago:
:hawks
-Jason Robertson (extended)

To Dallas:
:stars
-Frank Nazar
-Kevin Korchinski
-2026 CHI 1st round pick (4th overall)
-2027 CHI 1st round pick (top 2 protected)
Why do you think Jason Robertson fetches 4x what you paid for Mikko Rantanen?

The pick value is 4x as much, and that's being generous and evaluating Chicagos 2027 1st as = to a 15th overall mid 1st.

One of 4th overall / Nazar along with one of Korchinski / 1st rounder is within the neighbourhood of a fair-ish deal. All 4 is a huge overpay for almost any current winger in the league. Maybe 1 or 2 guys excluded from that... not Robertson.

Nowhere in this title does it suggest that Dallas is in on this deal.

I think at least one of the picks would need to be much higher if this were to be realistic imo. Like Hronek plus 10ish and an early second or something. However Im not a Shark fan so maybe they see it differently
Vancouver would need to first acquire the Winnipeg or Florida pick and use that with Hronek IMO. Not sure how they get there with Florida. With Winnipeg it would take Rossi I'd guess.

To Chicago: Nylander
To Toronto: 4th overall.

Leafs draft McKenna first and one of Reid or Carels at 4.

Assuming....

McKenna
Stenberg
Malholtra

Leafs can take Reid. I hate them. But this is what id do.

While im at it.

Trade Matthews to Utah for Iginla, Simashev and 19th overall.

Move forward with McKenna, Iginla, Knies, Cowan, Simashev and Reid as cornerstones.

Nazar is a Center. The last thing the Sharks need are more centers.

an offer sheet for Robertson would cost 4 first round picks

so that's essentially what I proposed, but Chicago could get the deal done before any team can submit an offer sheet
