Pinto has a 10.2.c. contract. Something to bear in mind when discussing this subject. The Senators have more options available to them than perhaps some are thinking.

First pick of the second round in 2019.

Finalist for hobey baker and won NCHC player of the year in his last season college year

Burned a ELC year and missed last season to a injury. Has only this season to bring to the negotiation table but he has 20 goals this year.

Long term sens fans project him to be a middle 6 centre. Fill in 2c elite 3c. Faceoff/defensive specialist with a nasty wrister
No idea why this forum was selected for this subject.

Probably some simple comprehension skills might help.

Shane Pinto will be a restricted free agent at the end of the year. The forum is called trade rumours and free agent talk.

If you still don’t get it might need to go back to school
Edit - Nope, he's actually a 10.2.c. There's no need to get snarky. I'd anticipate a lower percentage of quality replies in here versus elsewhere (i.e., a better location).

Edited contract status.

Pinto is a 10.2.c

What is a 10.2(c) player?

A player becomes a free agent when their contract expires on July 1 after the last League Year of their contract. A player who does not meet the UFA requirements or the Group 2 RFA requirements displayed in the table above, and has been issued a qualifying offer, is designated a 10.2(c) player. The player is only eligible to negotiate and sign a contract with the club that holds their signing rights. They are ineligible to negotiate a contract (offer sheet) with any other club. They are also ineligible for arbitration. If the player does not receive a qualifying offer by June 25th at 5:00pm ET, they immediately become a UFA.
