This meme is how I view the Shanahan era. Started real strong, turned the franchise around for the better, but then made many mistakes including hiring a rookie GM to negotiate the big 3 contracts which was the first domino to fall. All in all 2 playoff series wins in 10 years. A borderline failure in regards to expectations.

I get that the Shanaplan has failed and he needed to be let go, but I liked him in that he seemed to be the only one in the organization who understood and spoke to how fans feel.

He kept the underperforming core together, he didn't give a shit how fans felt.

The risk would have been trading a core 4 player and hoping the return would get them still in the playoffs while also getting different results in the playoffs. Keeping the same team, he kinda knew the results were there already in the regular season so it was a safe move to just sit back and do nothing and "hope" playoffs were different

How much of that was also the board saying no to moving any of these guys. I'm sure they like the guaranteed playoff games

Interesting comment by Feschuk. After he was fired Dubas admitted that he did not think that the 3 amigos did not hate losing enough. You should have asked us Kyle before you bet everything on them.
