Just because he's playing top6 does not mean he is top6 quality. He had half of his points this year in a 7-0 blowout against Toronto when the game was already over...

Well as much as i agree talent wise he s not However mr sutter thinks other wise and he knows more about hockey than you and i will ever know. So take it as it is He has been playing more top 6 then bottom 6 for years now. I never once said he was good at it just he plays it.

Holland? Hunwick? Marincin? Corrado? A shake up is one thing but are you sure you want to decimate Toronto's core by trading those players away?

4th lIners and healthy scratches is not a shake up trade. IT is moving out the garbage

I enjoy your posts, though your picture scares me.

The players you mentioned are going to make any difference in the history of the NHL. The Leafs don't have to worry about anything this season. Acquiring and protecting the right players before the expansion though...that's important

Shake up might be too much, thread is aimed more at looking at a each teams spare parts at this point and seeing about making a move.

One Jets fans put out there Burmistrov for Marincin. Burmistrov is believed to be on the outs in WPG - not a fit there.

I kind of referenced how Montreal picked up Weise in a nothing trade but he was actually pretty damn good for them.

I mean years ago, you look at Sharp going for nothing to Chicago and working out, hindsight is everything.

So while some of these trades are just that, nothing trades, it can help a team.

You guys are way to hard on OP.

Some of the smallest "nothing" trades/transactions have huge results.

Panik to Chicago?

Weise to Montreal?

A trade of any calibur will often wake a team up.

Fair enough but I did feel the title was click bait and then under delivered. Just having a little fun. It is refreshing to see the OP has thicker skin than many around here.

True, once in a while a smallish trade does have a surprisingly positive impact.

Canucks could use a shake up. I'd deal Henrik. He is just too slow. He'd be ideal in a support role as playmaker for a superstar, if he'd switch to wing.

In the real world I expect Horvat and Tanev to be traded away for Sedin support. The ideal candidate is older with term.

I'm no Canucks fan and therefore not very knowledgeable of them but aren't Tanev and Horvat core players for Vancouver's future? I know it's Benning but why on Earth would those guys be traded away for the sake of 36 year old Henrik and however old Daniel is?

The more I write, the more I realize you're cynicism is a well done joke that went over my head.
