Doesn't shock me at all. Watching the Leafs doc you can see that he cares a ton about the process. I find that I've generally aligned with his view on the games this year.

I didn't even realize that he was only at 50.77% xG this year. So it's not even like he's tilting the ice heavily on the surface before you account for him possibly giving up better chances than the numbers say.

3.25 xGA/60 and 4.22 GA/60. Dillon's at 2.87 xGA/60 and 3.71 GA/60. Pesce's at 2.16 xGA/60 and the other 3 guys are under 2. Luke's at 2.09 GA/60 and the other 3 guys are under 2

In Dougie's 52 minutes away from Dillons he's been outscored 3-0 with a 39% xGF. In Dillon's 55 minutes away from Dougie he's up 2-1 in goals with a 56% xGF

Dougie has a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go. He's the worst D on the team and has been flat out f***ing bad.

And to add to that, he doesn’t even have his shot anymore (or not yet anyway). Without that, he’s nowhere near the caliber of player he was.

Get the win back vs the Isles and then kick the shit out of the Sharks. Build up some cushion as the 5 games after it wouldn't be all that shocking to see 3/4 losses of 5

I think he is a big upgrade behind the bench. But you can do this as a coach when you are winning. It is the old ride them when things are good, pat them on the back when things are going wrong philosophy

I’m skeptical he moves but if I could have Kovy on a team friendly deal and move Hamilton it looks like a decent move right now. They could certainly use Hamilton’s money for Luke.

Weird win, they played really well in the first and then trailed off. Markstrom made some big saves but let him some leaky goals. Tremendous games from Jack/Bratt. Let's keep it rolling v the Isles on Saturday

Seeing your location on Brooklyn, I'm in the same spot lol. Devils games are such a pain to go to even with public transport and I usually don't drive since I'll have drinks before the game at Redd. But like I said before, the Gotham Sports App is so f***ing delayed this year that I have to wait during intermissions or post game to give my actual thoughts on the game

Carolina has the best coach in the league, they'll keep it up. Rangers are the Rangers, they'll make it because they have the quintessential regular season roster to do well with even though they got smoked. We should be fine. I think the Caps will taper off of a bit but man are they f***ing good as well. I just want to get into the dance, I think this team can be fine once they get there imo but need to work on the lulls they have mid game.

Got to catch most of this one. Vintage Jack and Bratt game. And even Palat. That line was excellent all night long.

The other 3 lines didn’t seem to be able to generate a ton on their own. Bit of a bizarre back and forth game. Did not like the first two goals from Markstrom and Dougie continues to struggle. But overall, continue to bank points and find the areas that need to be worked on for next outing.

Would love to take that win back from the Islanders.

Keefe reminds me of Lemaire in this regard. Jacques consistently called out poor play, even when we still won.

I think that stretch of home games at the end of November until December will be absolutely great for this group.
