Glad we won but from the time Jack put us up two goals again in the third period, that was a stupid and undisciplined game from us. The only way Montreal was getting back into it was by playing wide open pond hockey, they invited us to do it and we said "thank you very much" and took the invitation. Newhook promptly skates through our entire team after Nason slams himself behind their net . . . it's a one goal game, and even then on our power play we keep turning it over and give up odd man rushes short handed. Pesce on the second power play prevents a breakaway when Hughes turns it over with the power play expiring . . .

Just not the way you close out a game with a two goal lead and ten minutes left. You play puck possession there, structured, keep the game down low in the other team's end. This was not the way to play in that situation. Fortunate they didn't tie it up. We gave them every chance to.

Alex Newhook should have gotten one of the three stars of the game for Montreal. Definitely.

Yeah it could've been so much better than it was. The positive takeaway would be this is the type of performance you'll get with regularity if Jack finds his game but you won't see the Nico and Haula lines have games like this that often.

Well if he doesnt figure it out soon, it makes moving him this offseason much easier to swallow

Nemec would pretty easily take his minutes, and save us alot of buckaroos
They won’t be able to move him. At least not without sweetening the deal. What team wants to pay him $9 mil at this point?

Oh come on. Nico looked like he was having so much fun using his stick like a shovel against the boards

Except he clearly doesn't anymore. The chances Dougie gives up with regularity are undervalued from an xG perspective which skews the numbers.

I didn't even realize that he was only at 50.77% xG this year. So it's not even like he's tilting the ice heavily on the surface before you account for him possibly giving up better chances than the numbers say.

3.25 xGA/60 and 4.22 GA/60. Dillon's at 2.87 xGA/60 and 3.71 GA/60. Pesce's at 2.16 xGA/60 and the other 3 guys are under 2. Luke's at 2.09 GA/60 and the other 3 guys are under 2

In Dougie's 52 minutes away from Dillons he's been outscored 3-0 with a 39% xGF. In Dillon's 55 minutes away from Dougie he's up 2-1 in goals with a 56% xGF

Dougie has a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go. He's the worst D on the team and has been flat out f***ing bad.

Only 28 pages, and 7 posts in the last 10 minutes.

What's the problem?
Team won so the usual 300 yelling and screaming posts from KJ and Dylan are being held for the next L

Yup, he still worries me a lot. I know he has it in him to get back to the level he was pre injury, but its nowhere close at the moment
