Trade: [SF/PHI] Bryce Huff for conditional 5th round pick

He was inactive for the Super Bowl. Also was their highest paid player on the defensive side.
One of the great ironies of the eagles last season. The biggest move they made in terms of dollars, was a huge bust. The fact the Eagles are getting anything at all is incredible.

Philly eating both dead cap and paying part of his 2025 salary. They guaranteed $34 mill of his $51 mill contract.

Eagles gave him a $16 mill signing bonus in 2024. Base salary of $1.1 mill so total of $17.25 mill paid for 2024 year. Just a $4.35 mill cap charge. So, that leaves them roughly $13 mill of dead cap for 2024 to still eat moving forward.

Looks like Eagles are paying $9 mill of his contract for 2025. SF taking on $7.7 mill.

So, Eagles will be eating $22 mill of dead cap (total) for Huff for 2025 and 2026.

Just one of those mistakes that you just lick your wounds and move forward with.

Huff reunites with his former Jets HC Saleh for a chance to get his career back on track. so, a good move for him.
