Switzerland is a good team.

And you might have not realized but some good Canadian players are not playing.

Swiss have basically their best on best team. Canada may not have a single best on best player - although some of the players will be in the future.

This may be the one redeeming thing about the IIHF world cup. Small countries sometimes get top player availability mismatches that make for interesting games and results. Great for the middling hockey programs.

Ironically, it's also why the it's a barely relevant/legitimate tournament.
