Dichen Lachman crushed it as Gemma. This episode needed her to shine and she did.I'm actually convinced at this point, that this is the best show ever created. Give it 2-3 more years and even more main stream attention, it's gonna usurp the likes of Breaking Bad and GOT(At least before Season 8).
It's so brilliantly written and even better acted(Shoutout to Jen Tullock for this weeks episode as well), the mystery just keeps getting more and more intriguing...
Incredible.
Dichen Lachman is criminally underrated, IMO. She's been around the Sci Fi genre for awhile (Dollhouse, The 100, Agents of Shield, Altered Carbon) but this role has the potential to be a real break through for her. She's one of those actors for me that if I see her name attached, I watch it hahaDichen Lachman crushed it as Gemma. This episode needed her to shine and she did.
I think the only projects you mentioned that I've watched any of are Agents of Shield and Altered Carbon, but I only watched like two episodes post CA2' Winter Soldier before I lost interest and Season 1 of Altered Carbon so I have no memory of her prior work.Dichen Lachman is criminally underrated, IMO. Thought that episode sucked and I can’t wait until this season is over so I can just stop watching this series.
Why don't you just go ahead and stop watching now and stop replying in this thread, since you hate it so much?
Yeah I could defend it before with Mark given where he's at in his Outie life, but this was very clearly the writers trying to twist plausibility and character intelligence to keep some reveals intact and set up a plot development in later episodes. There's really no good reason for either woman to behave the way they did in *that* scene. It's especially frustrating because the rest of the episode was excellent.Once again the rehgabi scene completely sucks and every character just becomes extremely dumb when around her so the writers can hide some kind of twist or reveal for a later date.
Other than that thought the episode was very strong. Lumon is clearly just straight up evil. Seems like you can piece together some stuff about what lumon is really trying to do and accomplish now. I've felt like the pacing has been kinda off and all over the place throughout the season so far. Think at this point I've enjoyed season 1 more.
