Jones has a positive ES CF% Rel every season of his career, while playing the toughest minutes on his team since leaving Nashville (I assume, don't know where to find that stat). People are probably underrating him if they don't have him as a top 64 dman unless he's recently declined. His possession stats are still good with Florida though

We have Toronto fans whining about him claiming Florida fans are, without acknowledging the team us missing key forwards and a more reliable d-man in Kulikov. He's much better than Ekblad.

Toronto fans so obsessed with Jones, pretty hilarious really. Yeah, that was awful, he’s had some mistakes, management’s said it’ll take time to get him fully settled in. He’s had some terrific games and he’s had moments like that.

He was supposed to be on the 2nd pair with Mikkola to learn the system with Ekblad continuing to play on the top pair, Ekblad got suspended which pushed Jones to the top pair and playing more minutes.

But, keep hoping I guess.

Toronto fans are doing anything to distract themselves from the fact that they are an NHL embarrassment.

...every year, that is the Edmonton fanbase's response...yes, many of us have, quite a bit, actually; he is not worth that contract...admit it or not, his contract stops Edmonton from becoming a more complete team by utilizing the Cap Space that he's overpaid by (probably about $2 mill or so)...

That's the kind of stuff you see like four times a period int he OHL, but is rare in the NHL. Jones needs to keep his focus more consistently.

He's also playing like 30 minutes a night now with all the injuries. That might have something to do with it.

Half of HF could have made the moves he did. Turns out it is pretty easy when players are begging to go to your team only due to lack of tax and weather. Even Kevin Adams called it out. It's a lot easier to build teams when players are willing to take 2-3M less each due to taxes.

Where's all the bluster last week about the Leafs showing the Panthers who the real top team in the East is and how Toronto is gonna handle them in the playoffs? The Panthers won the season series 3-1 and thoroughly controlled two of those games. We were missing Tkachuk, Bennett, Ekblad and still suffocated the Leafs and out shot , out handed, outhit, out everything by a large margin. This was another reminder of how the playoffs are gonna go.
