Can't go a day without a dig at NYR? I don't recall all our fans saying it was smart to sign Trouba to that deal, although he has played very well this season.

It wasn't meant as a dig at the Rangers. I would take Fox and Trouba over Hamilton and Jones pretty easily. My only point was that you can't just base it on the number. There are lots of top pairs that I think are worth that money, just not Hamilton and Jones.

Subban is off their books this off-season. Hawks would obviously have to take a bath bath with any return from the Devils but having Jones and Hamilton on their team makes them much better IMHO.

I haven’t looked at NJ’s cap situation. Would they be interested? Would they be able to fit him under their cap? What would the return be?

Like any team would pay that for the 07 pronger neidermeyer duo . They mostly always played on separate lines even strength and that can be close to 60 mins of hhof level defense during a game which imo is worth it if you have the right two guys.
