Confirmed with Link: Seth Jones (25% retained) & ‘26 4th to Florida for Knight and a '26 1st

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
Jones is gone now, he can't hurt you anymore.
And why should we stop bashing him? Trading him doesn't mean we can't talk shit about him anymore.

Just like how this board was talking shit about him before he was even traded here. We all knew where it was going, from the moment the report he'd be willing to come to Chicago, to the second Bowman traded for his brother.

We have gone years hating that trade, that contract. And after the stunt he pulled going public and then only being willing to waive for two teams, we can add hating him as a person too.

I wonder if Jones is capable of playing good for a whole season. He just doesnt seem to have that compete gear. He can turn it on for short stretches but that is it.

To me Chelios confirmed this when he said Jones has been phoning it in for the last two years.

I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but good riddance. I usually root for ex Hawks but find it hard to in his case.

I'm going to follow Jones but more from a curiosity standpoint. Like is he really better around a better team with a diminished role? I don't really care if he's good or bad as I never really liked him although I was never calling for his head. I was always in the headspace of he's overpaid but still a good player yet he was hard to root for because he often seemed detached.

Even in Columbus, he was the league's most overrated defenseman

After an easing-in period for a few games, I notice that Jones played 28+ minutes last evening vs Bruins, was on PP1 and killed penalties as well. I didn't watch much of the game but I did notice that he was very active on offense.
