what are you even talking about?
It's pretty simple. Who is available to the Avs to acquire among goalies? The trade board will have guys like Markstrom (too expensive), Jake Allen (not good enough for you), Marc-Andre Fleury (also not good enough for you), and Merzlikins (too expensive and not much better than Georgiev). What else is even out there? None of those guys are guys you should be paying a 1st round pick to acquire either because they're not that good or the term is too much for that price. The Avs also have moved a lot of their secondary picks and assets.

IDK, you may be right that options are limited, but let's just be clear that I don't think Kahkonen is good enough and would be upset at the acquisition even for future considerations.

Your point was that the Avs "don't have much to part with to make that happen" and that's just plain wrong lol.

Based on his entire body of work. We're done here.
Seems like you don't have a strong understanding of what's available nor what his body of work actually is. It's not some super impressive body of work but it's comparable to what is actually out there on the trade market right now.

Agreed on that. Ullmark shat the bed last playoff.
It's also a matter of roster balance. We had a gaping hole at 2C and currently have a passable starter in goal

Do you think that everyone who disagrees with you just "doesn't have a strong understanding" of the factors in play?

Markstrom at 50% retained (3 mil) for Calum RItchie+2026 2nd that becomes 2024 1st if Colorado makes the cup finals in 2024+ cap dump? Is that insane? Totally get why Avs won't wanna give up Ritchie but it seems like they're really going all in
