He had the best streak I remember from a goaltender and after it his numbers and performances have been horrible (including that year's playoffs).
Who took his place? Condon? O'Connor?

Hammond was brutal in the 1st half of last season and then finished out being OK. Was pretty bad in his two games this season. Condon is an upgrade. Hammond is an AHLer. Not even backup worthy.

Honestly, is this a surprise with Condon's play? Hammond had a flash in the pan 20 game run two years ago, what has he done since other then stink and be hurt. He has no value.

Doesn't seem like a bona fide NHL goalie. Not that there's a lot of difference between the 55th and 75th best goalies in North America, but he definitely looks like he's on the lower side of that...seems waive-able...

Fun fact about Hammond (not super relevant, to be honest) - in a December 2014 AHL game, he allowed three goals in 36 seconds, for a 300.00 GAA.

And he didn't get the loss in the game.

Does he count as an "available" player for the incoming expansion draft?

Musical chairs with ****** backup goalies?

C'mon NHL. You can do better than that. There's an expansion draft coming up.

How did the Sens go from having Anderson - Lehner - Bishop to Anderson - Hammond - Condon in such a short time? Really don't get how they managed to muck that up.

...That's the thing.
If Hammond meets the threshold for availability, AND I'M PRETTY SURE HE DOES, it will enable teams to not give extra-leverage to their backup in salary negotiations.

There's the obvious Price/Montoya case, and I'm pretty sure there are other ones. That's why Condon has some value, and that's why Hammond probably does, too.

I'm quite sure the Bruins are in the exact same situation, with ONLY Rask meeting the games played threshold (and Khudobin maybe having issues reaching it, though Khudobin IS signed for next season).
