One thing I’d nitpick about this team is that I find sometimes we’ll have kind of an ugly/sloppy 2 on 1 and instead of just shooting or forcing the pass we’ll turn up and go back to the point or wait up. I’d like to see us just get a shot from in close rather than pass it up just because it’s not perfect.

Yikes, Sanderson absolutely snoozing on that one
No, he was absolutely focused on the puck! Not on his role!

I have seen many of our players with the same affliction. It seems that they don't know what their role is in their own D zone. I blame coaching for not correcting that! Torts would be livid!

Sadly even if we try to acquire replacement for ZuB/Hamonic there is no one good availaible. Always dreamed of Gudas in this team would be such a perfect addition a la Jensen

One good: Chabot continues to skate and look like a legitimate #1D.

One bad: Stützle was very sloppy in that 1st period. Forced, low IQ, low percentage plays all over the ice. In fact, he has looked very pedestrian for a few games now. The name of the game for him is: simplify, simplify, simplify.

We was puck watching
Thing is we have the puck. If you’re gonna be defending while your own team has the puck then you’ll never win. That’s why giveaways in your own zone or anywhere are so dangerous. No one is set to really defending. And when it’s mcdavid. And like 20 feet from your net it’s 100x more difficult
