Sarcasm

Sarcasm refers to the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say, especially in order to insult someone, or to show irritation, or just to be funny. For example, saying "they're really on top of things" to describe a group of people who are very disorganized is using sarcasm. Most often, sarcasm is biting, and intended to cause pain. Irony can also refer to the use of words that mean the opposite of what you really want to say; the "they're really on top of things" statement about the very disorganized group of people can also be described as an ironic statement. But irony can also refer to a situation that is strange or funny because things happen in a way that seems to be the opposite of what you expected; for example, it is ironic if someone who was raised by professional musicians but who wanted a very different kind of life then fell in love with and married a professional musician.

Now look up pedantic.

Can you give me a quick player breakdown on Reinhardt?
The only thing I've noticed consistently that separates him is that he's a bulldog on the forecheck and loves to get to the net. Plus, the games we've seen him he's had a bit of scoring touch.

People who watch b sens are way more qualified to assess though

I still can’t believe the whining that took place after that hire. If only Staios had just thought to make the big brain move of checking on Green’s W-L on hockeydb as part of the exhaustive hiring process.

You can't believe Sens fans were weary of hiring a coach without much winning experience? Have you not been around the last ten years?

A lot of the missed entries are execution of that pass to the left boards.. the winger there fumbles the puck or makes a blind pass back to the point giving it away. The puck management still suffers from bad decisions.
Our puck entry on PP1 is better when it’s not Stutzle or Sanderson with the backhand pass to the LW.

Solid win, they didn't give up.
They should have win this on regulation but it's 2pts and Vancouver is not in our conference.

In this type of game you see that the team is young, the only danger with the Canucks is Hugues and first half of the game he had way too much space, they let him shoot as he was no danger.
Pinto was the only one who defend smartly against him, they really need to be smarter sometimes.

Merilainen was not that bad, but not good neither, just average. Again he is only 22. But we really need a solid back up this year.
Sure Ullmark is a gift for us.

Nah, Jensen and Chabot were fine. It was Kleven and JBD who kinda struggled. And Hamonic was his usual self. Can't wait for Zub to come back.
Kleven and Jensen struggled. JBD was solid, his 1 v 1 vs Garland along the boards was textbook and he timed up a couple big his.

Norris has trouble handling, he doesn't shoot enough making questionable puck management decisions. I would not mind replacing him with Pinto on PP1
Norris is overthinking it sometimes, he had a great chance on PP1 where the puck hit the post but he had a pause before shooting, he should not, he is a sniper.

3-11-2 when their opponent scores 1st :thumbd:

With the Ullmark we see recently i suspect we could do better.

Hughes was just too good. We have stu who is like that, but sanderson is different, more defensive, so it's a forward. Hughes plays massive minutes and every single time he touched the puck it was dangerous.

One of the, if the not the, best players I've seen on an opposing team this year. Scary

You just can’t even challenge him cause he’ll break your ankles and drive the net. Our forwards got cooked a few times. He’s just unreal.

Hope amadio is ok but I won’t mind if Macewen or Reinhardt come in instead.
That 3rd line has been the most consistent, best line lately. It was Amadio's work that led to Pinto's 1st goal. I don't get why so many on this board don't appreciate what he brings to the table.

I say this too often, but here it is again anyway: crazy what a difference it makes when a player is playing through an injury (or recovering from one) vs playing healthy! We saw it with both Pinto and Sanderson tonight. And we're seeing the converse with Stutzle, as based on his play I bet he's going through something. Let's hope they all come back healthy after the break, including poor Amadio who was actually playing with a lot of energy tonight. Before that, still one game to go, and who knows, with Ullmark in net maybe we go to the break with the streak intact?

Congrats to Merilainen, got the job done! Nothing spectacular, but nothing stupid or deflating either. Not something you can say about Forsberg or Sogaard.
I agree, didn't let in any softies which is what you want from your backup, especially one with so little NHL experience.

I hope 97 and 29 had a bad night of sleep and Linus had a good one
Could get ugly real quick with these 2
Well, isn't Oilers bottom D pairing just as bad as ours? Maybe our top 6 matches the scoring of their top guns and Pinto's line wins the game. Or Ullmark plays another unreal game.

I don’t think hamonic is someone who has enough gas left at his age to be effective consistently, but I’ve been impressed with his last few games and if he keeps it up, I’ll happily eat some crow. If we don’t notice him all game, that’s perfect for his role.

Good road game from the boys and nice to see Leevi get his first win. I thought we would blow it at 2-2 but played a decent game start to finish. Vancouver are battling some demons and not at the top of their game, but going .500 on this road trip seems reasonable if we keep up this play.

Well I guess a few decent games and then back to the worst dman in the NHL. What a waste of space on the ice.
