Is it weird that I no longer even live in Canada, let alone Ontario, and I've been following the Ontario elections religiously?

Old habits die hard, I guess. Ottawa will always be my home, it's hard to pull yourself away.

Uhm, so I know we can't talk about that other subject anymore, but I'd just like to point out that none of the people I've been with have ever become pregnant, and none of them were on the pill or anything.

I'm you're damn roommate and it took me at least 3 or 4 times to understand what was being said here.

This day needs to end. My mind is going.

I still think Wynne is the best of these three awful candidates.

And I mean it: all three candidates are TRULY AWFUL. There's not a single likeable, trustworthy, competent or moral fibre in any of them.

Ctv calling liberal win. Not sure if majority yet but certainly looks like it.

CBC currently has Liberals projected just a seat or two under a majority.
Seriously can't figure out how people could give Liberals a majority, sad to see that fearmongering still works.

Still very early, but if we re-elect a Liberal government after the disproportionate amounts of lying, fraud and waste we saw in these past two Liberal governments, Ontarians deserve everything we will get. And I'll seriously be considering leaving the province permanently.

Absolutely agree. I despise Hudak. The guy is a robot with no actual opinion who seems like a glorified "Yes Man" with no charisma whatsoever.

But... a Liberal majority? After the provincial debt has more than doubled in the last decade? Sheesh. What a nightmare.

I'm not kidding.

- Hudak will do the most long-term damage to the province BY FAR.
- Wynne is a schemer, she projects false integrity, and is far too close to the outgoing McGuinty circle to be trusted
- Horvath is a power-hungry sycophant who went against every one of her party's stated objections and moral leanings in a failed coup for more power.

Truth. We're in a no-win situation and all we can do is hope for the least bad of the three. situations.

Yeah... Best case scenario for ANY Provincial government, regardless of which party is sitting in power, is always a minority government.

... until we get rid of FPTP, that is. But you guys already covered that earlier.

Seriously, how is that PCO has yet to find a leader who has any ounce of charisma since Mike Harris? As I remember it, people basically disliked him for doing what he said he was going to do. But he still had the charisma to pull it off and make some 'hard choices' and get re-elected for it.

But then we ended up with a bunch of minions after that leading the party, and McGuinty and his used car salesman charm managed to finagle a couple elections away.

You missed your take on Schreiner! (yes I had to look up his name again, and he's running in the riding next to me - and I'm there a couple times a week).

As someone who did that (though not over politics), it sounds better than it actually is.

Of course, I moved to the worst place ever, but that's besides the point. I miss Ontario dearly.

Oh, I don't doubt it. Grass is greener syndrome. Still, it's painful to watch a once-proud province being torn asunder and realizing there's very little you can do. In a system like this, it hurts even more to be powerless.

Of course the other awesome part is seeing a potential majority government elected on a popular vote around 35% yet again...

I wonder what the lowest popular vote to win a majority has been provincially.

We so need vote reform, that referendum last time was so poorly worded.
