My uncles do the stats for the Sens. One of them lived with Pavol Demetra and Stan Necker, both of whom I met. I had dinner with Stan at my grandparents' house (it was thanksgiving dinner I think) when I was younger.

I have had NUMEROUS conversations with Carrie Underwood. I was the usher assigned to the section where her box seats were on many nights when she attended games, and was the guy stopping all the douchey Sens fans who tried to take a hundred pictures of her from the aisles. I was one of the biggest ushers when I worked there, so I was always used in such a capacity. (I usually almost always worked front-row duty when we had concerts, too: I was one of the few ushers who wouldn't get absolutely run over by 100 people trying to rush the stage.)
She's a sweetheart. Love that girl, she's down-to-earth and hasn't let her success get to her head much. She's still a farm girl at heart.

Honestly, I never know what to say when I meet a player. Seems like they probably hear the whole "you're my favourite player/I love how you play/YOU'RE MY HERO" schtick all the time.
