They need to totally revamp them. It's apparently the "smartest AI yet", and that's sad. They'll miss you with passes when you're wide open, and the wingers never go to the boards when the puck is in their zone.

Not to mention horizontal hockey.

They also need to get rid of the plays where you have a wide open net and your players sky it over the top or wide. Sure, it happens sometimes in real life but it's just annoying when it constantly happens in a video game. It has cost me games countless times.

That would be useful for when a goalie isn't trying or when a skater is trying to score in his own net (which happens too often). However, I have a feeling that people would just boot the lesser-skilled players, or the guys who weren't playing well, which could get annoying.

It is better...I score goals by making pass to my team mates who can't pick the pass and it end up in the net. Pro goalie the other side.
