There is a girl in my class, true hick. Horse tattoo on her chest that she got when she was 13 and all.

I was walking through the parking lot going to get my final exam and she is standing there with her bf, who is just as much a hick.

I am wearing my 2012 Sens draft hat and he comments "Aww not the Sens! Really?"

To which I reply "Shut up you ****ing leafs fan." He looks at me and goes, "How did you know I was a leafs fan?" To which I remarked "All you sad ****ers are the same, running your mouths."

It was second best part of my day, besides finding out my math average was 96.45% for the year.

Another school shooting in the States. In an elementary school this time no less. Wtf is wrong with the world?

What's wrong with the world - well for one any idiot or psychopath can go into a store and buy a semi-automatic rifle without needing any sort of prerequisite courses or evaluations.

And this is coming from a gun owner - thank god in Canada we don't have shootings like this. It's scary - like when columbine happened it was y'know some kids who got bullied came back and did something insane - there was a motive there, albeit a ridiculous one. In this case you had a 20 year old go shoot up a school full of elementary kids... like I cannot fathom why this would happen.

Tonnes of reasons why this kind of thing happens. Systematic issues with how we handle and diagnose our mental state of well-being contribute substantially.

With that said, we can be thankful shootings like this are pretty rare.

My thoughts are with the victims and their families, of course.

Don't expect it to be as good as LOTR, because it isn't and you will be disappointed if you do. My biggest gripe is that the intro is too long (I think it was longer then Fellowship) however the movie gets better and better as it goes on (hopefully that translates into parts 2 and 3)


Also, the visuals don't have as many moments as LOTR, as the scenery is way less diverse and interesting (so far) but when those moments do happen they are just as amazing
