So you cared when Melnyk was the owner? Now that the Sens have a proper owner, I don't care where Tobi Lutke lives.
Yeah, I thought Lutke would be an ideal buyer for the Sens, even though he always denied any interest. So you cared when Melnyk was the owner?
Dude gives out weird vibes. Steer clear imo.Yeah, I thought Lutke would be an ideal buyer for the Sens, even though he always denied any interest.
I believe in Ontario to be classed as an e-scouter, you can only have a max of 24km per hour, once you exceed that I think it's treated as a motorcycle and you can be subject to some pretty hefty fines. For the record: I've never been or seen myself as a 'safety advocate' - go with the flow, your choice your consequence IMO.
But wtf is up with these E-Scooters? I was doing 60 (speed limit) on a major road and this guy in nothing but khakis, a polo shirt and Birkenstocks was keeping pace behind me. How has this not been addressed by the city? Hit the wrong bump or hole in the road and life-long skin grafts is the best outcome you can hope for. Jesus Christ.
"Eco-friendly" tho I guess.
Not enough police enforcement on them. It is definitely out of control.I believe in Ontario to be classed as an e-scouter, you can only have a max of 24km per hour, once you exceed that I think it's treated as a motorcycle and you can be subject to some pretty hefty fines.
You can be pretty sure if the police saw that guy he'd get pulled over pretty quick.
Toronto is a bit of a different animal imo,Not enough police enforcement on them. It is definitely out of control.

Theres one dude in downtown Ottawa that drives one of those fast escooters like an absolute maniac. I drive my wife to work sometimes and I've already seen him almost get into an accident 3 times. If they're not regulated effectively there are definitely going to be major injuries or deaths as a result. For the record: I've never been or seen myself as a 'safety advocate' - go with the flow, your choice your consequence IMO.

About the speed or skin grafts? Road rash is no jokeI rode scooters in San Diego on a boardwalk pathway at 3 am and the top speed was 26 mph which is 43 km/h.
I think there’s some exaggeration going on.

I’ve seen a lot of that behavior in Calgary the last little while. Never really seen it before.Saw some dude today on a gas powered bicycle… he was lane splitting cars down Dundas. Insane. T-shirt and no helmet
If it goes faster than 24km/hr in Ontario, it's regulated as a motorcycle, so those people (for whom you somehow know their licence status) are risking being fined.View attachment 742161
These go a lot faster than 24kmh
These are also scooters.
I've seen a a lot of people whipping around in traffic without helmets or licenses.
It's more of an enforcement issue, hard for police to identify which e-scouter can exceed 24km and which can't, so unless they see the guy going over 24 can't really do anything.By definition, an e-scooter has a max speed of 24 km/h in Ontario. I'm not sure what y'all are mad about, but this isn't an e-scooter regulation thing.
