I think we have seen a change in how the organization feels about Kerfoot. They still appreciate his flexibility, but it is clear they do not regard him as a top six forward anymore. I feel there is no doubt Kerfoot is considered a trade chip at this point. Whether or not he gets moved, I don't know but I would bet he is a part of many discussions.

Well, with Matthews out, and the lowly Sens in town while our Leafs play down to them wearing those lousy jerseys, it might be in my best interest to simple be alone in the basement and watch a movie instead of hockey!!!

Basement man is unhappy!!!

I don’t mind it either for a look, in fact it’s good to reward players playing well like holmberg, but i think it would be much better to have this line as a third line, opposed to our second. I don’t think holmberg has a playstyle suited for the top 6 yet. I understand it is because of an injury that he’s playing there.

He doesn’t make many mistakes, and sometimes his line even gets cycles going, but we don’t just need mistake-free hockey from the second line, we need them to actively contribute, and idk how effective that line will be at that.

Kerfoots tenure here probably should’ve been finished last year once we lost in tampa. He had peaked that season, and was on the bad side of critical moments of the series, more specifically game 6 (turnover that lead to 1-0, blown breakaway in OT). We’ve brought in a guy who’s more useful in his position than he is, Jarnkrok is very similar to kerfoot away from the puck, but a much better finisher. Kerfoot was a better playmaker. We probably could’ve dealt him for picks in the off-season because it’s awfully clear it’s not working and we probably will part ways once his contract is up this summer

I don't either but we are going to find out, maybe he surprises us, he's got a couple pretty good wingers to play with.

Please don't remind me. It sticks in my memory like the Dermott giveaway and Sandin getting blown away in a skate race by Paul Byron against the Habs. I'm traumatised by these plays

The only bright side to this is I have 4 for tonight, me and a buddy are taking our daughters and mine can drive home after.
One of these rare occasions where I'm not required to drive and since I got the tickets, someone else will be picking up the dinner/drinks tab. :thumbu:
