It kind of reminded me of Auston Mathews' first game where he scored 4 goals against us and we won 5-4.

But with all that skill Matthews doesn't seem to have any leadership qualities and has made a terrible captain. When I watch his interviews he seems disinterested, almost monotone.

I think with Matthews growing up in Arizona he never really understood hockey culture and what it takes to lead, but that's just my opinion.

I believe Demidov will end up being great.

Post Media's Bruce Garrioch reports that forward Claude Giroux and defencemen Jake Sanderson and Nick Jensen will not play against the Blackhawks. Hayden Hodgson will also be out of the lineup due to a lower-body injury.

yeah greig should be back in with tkachuk, giroux and hodgson out

imo thats the most important line for the playoffs since its our shutdown line. If that isnt working we are in trouble. Its also going to be interesting if Amadio/Cousins get bumped down to line 4 then how does green get them more ice time. Amadios played great and Cousins plays his role well and I personally want him back on the team next year so we cant be messing with his ice time too much
