Paulrus: A
GMBM: B
Alfie: A- (Healthy year, clutch moments. Age will never hit him and expect him to play next season. Oh captain, my captain.)
Anderson: A (Really? Solid all year long. Vezina will be his next year, book it!)
Benoit: B- (When he played, he was all around good. Ideal 7th Dman for this team.)
Conacher: C+ (Late addition might drop his grade, didn't produce as much as we wanted. Great energy and size doesn't stop him.)
Condra: B- (Still one, if not our best PK player. Stone hands missed a lot of chances, but playoff performance enhanced his grade)
Cowen: C (Miss 38 games, but was back to at least 3/4 of his game very quick. Although did show the lack of games this season in the playoffs.)
Gonchar: B (Great year, sure he made mistakes but without his play/leadership, we arguably wouldn't of been in the playoffs. Stepped up as expected when Karlsson went down.)
Greening: B- (He was way too invisible for a bit portion of the season. Showed up when the time counted the most *See Toronto goal*. Can't ignore his heroic plays in the Pittsburgh series)
Gryba: B- (Solid season when he played. Laid the hits he had to, stopped those who we couldn't let loose on the ice and was solid in his playoff games. Clean Eller hit aside, dude rocked.)
Karlsson: B (Freak accident made him miss 10 weeks but didn't stop him from coming back. This guys heart alone should get him an "A" grade. His rust did show when he returned, but made timely contributions. And well...Before his injury, he was just Norris.
Kassian: B- (This grade might surprise some. But when he was on the ice, he didn't make game decision mistakes to cost us the games. He knew when to drop them, laid the hits and showed more skating abilities than we had hoped for.
Latendresse: D (Showed he has hands, but those were used to sign this contract and a few good plays during the season. I like the guy and all, but after reviewing the season, could've had a prospect in his roster spot.)
Lehner: A- (This guy will be a ****ing monster. He stepped in when Anderson went down and was terrorizing the AHL before being called up. For more Lehner love, contact Mat_Sens.)
Methot: A+ (All season, this guy played the same game. Approach him, get hit. Showed flairs of offense during the playoffs and such. Glad to have him, definitely won that trade.)
Michalek: C- (Injuries again caught on to him. For the love of Alfie, someone donate him their knees! Didn't get must offense from him and I feel like he's only going downhill...Trade? Maybe with a off-season rehab and having Spezza around again will help him)
Neil: A (Just another Neil year.)
Pageau: B+ (Oh man, if he pans out the way we're talking on here, this guy will steal the show in Ottawa. Not a big guy, but MAN does he know how to play the body. Kids got game.
Phillips: B+ (I agree with most of the pros when they say that Phillips has been the most consistent defenceman all season long. He played solid and like always, excellent PK. Can't hate on the big rig scoring watch either!)
Regin: F (uck this guy)
Silfverberg: B- (I was hoping for more offense but I guess it was to be expected with him having to adjust to North American hockey. He was the leading scorer in Bingo before joining in and I'm sure that helped him a lot. Expecting a bit more from him next season. Maybe it's the big Silf homer in me, but he gets a B-)
Smith: C+ (His lack of scoring gives him a lower note. Sure he's an on and off point getter, but I want a bit more from him. Great defensively and plays the hits. No lack of fighting hands either, but offense was expected from him when Spezza went down.
Spezza: C+ (Before his injury, he was just being Spezza. Scoring at a PPG pace and lethal in the shootout. Mad props for him coming back from his injury too and he played a predictable game when he returned. Hoping no more back issues for Spezza.)
Turris: B+ (Big shoes to fill all season long and he did quite well. Definitely the 2nd line center we're looking for. Stepped up huge in the playoffs and hoping he plays that way next season for 82 games. I can see 50+ points easily from him next year.)
Wiercioch: B- (As a rookie, he played good. Showed that he has those offensive hands and that he could play in the NHL. If Gonchar is gone, he's an obvious candidate.)
Zibanejad: B (Another good rookie that proved us this year. He adjusted faster than Silfverberg even after coming back from injuries that ocured down in Bingo. He'll be a difference maker next season.)
