Jared Cowen spent a couple of weeks at a secluded spa retreat in an attempt to find his game.

I expect Tarasenko type dangles, Keith like awareness and mobility, Weber esque shot, and Chara like physical domination.

Go Sens Go

Cowen drawing in for such a big game strikes me as weird...

Maybe there is some truth to the notion that Tampa is interested in him?

Go Sens Go

Never understood why we didn't see more slappers from him. I guess he can't one time the puck, or maybe he just takes far to long to get a shot off, but he's got a hard shot, so just pound them on net to give the team more room down low as the forwards edge closer to block some shots.

Just based on my recollection which isn't always reliable, I do not remember much offensive zone time when Cowen was on the ice. I do remember him unleashing his shot a couple times but not much more than that. 5 on 5 I find we do not generally sustain much pressure in the offensive zone where we gain control of the puck down low and feed the points for shots.

He tries but he can't get it off quick enough and it's just not accurate. He can't get it through bodies onto the net.

Anyone else notice a spark in Lazar's game lately? Him and Pageau are fun to watch together.

Can Zack continue his torrid scoring?! He seems to have found an offensive gear this year, and is making more take-aways (or I could be completely wrong). Go Sens! Put a fork in those Devils!

I never see Ottawa cycle the puck, not even on the powerplay. It would be nice to see once in a while to sustain some pressure in the o-zone.

Too many righties and not enough skill on the left

I've been saying this for a few years now: this team has no cycle game down low and it's a real problem

Why would we want to cycle the puck on the PP?

Move the PKers around and open up lanes, tire out defenders.

I think part of the problem is that our passes are really slow.

Agree with above as well about not enough skill on the left side.

I said not enough skill on the left side

We have plenty of skill in terms of righties

You mean pass down the side wall? If so, I agree.

The cycle wouldn't work against a box, they won't chase a cycle, they'd just let it waste time.

I would like to see Sens try putting somebody in Gretzky's office behind the net during PP. change it up. Don't be so predictable..
