Ottawa hasn't exactly been playing all that well over the last two months.

Maybe a little adversity will help inject some spark and work ethic.

Pesky Sens?

Please?

He needs to have played 10 games or have been in the majors for 30 days since his last clear to require waivers, neither have occured

Thanks. I guess I hadn't noticed he was already on waivers this season. Thanks for the info.

I said it when he played for the 67's, and I'll say it again here : Joseph Blandisi is a stage name you give yourself as a magician, not a real name you give to a child who then has to deal with it through grade school.

"The Great Blandisi". That guy saws women in half for money. He doesn't play cold winter sports.

The Great Blandisi was his dad, who was always trying to get him to follow in his footsteps, but then the Senior Blandisi ran off with his young assistant, leaving poor Joey and his mom with next to nothing. That was the night little Joey took all his decks of cards and his robes and wands and trap-door contraptions out into the back yard and burned them...

They never taught us this crap in my grade school..

We are (and he is) insanely lucky that he doesn't have a broken collarbone

Easy win. Any guesses as to how much people show up to the game? Half a building?

I don't think Cowen is as bad as some of you are saying. Sure, I agree he needs to improve; however, as posted in another thread, the 5 on 5 stats don't lie.

Name GF/60 GA/60 GF% (GF/GF+GA)

Cowen 2.23 1.71 56.7%
Methot 2.72 2.56 51.5%
Ceci 1.91 1.81 51.3%
Karlson 2.52 2.70 48.2%
Wideman 1.92 2.07 48.1
Wiercioch 1.69 1.89 47.2
Borowiecki 1.19 2.06 36.7%

Pretty sure they do with him ,anybody that has eyes can see that

Just look at the projected defense:

Mark Borowiecki - Erik Karlsson
Jared Cowen - Chris Wideman
Patrick Wiercioch - Cody Ceci

*vomits

Well, the silver lining is that Cowen usually plays relatively well when getting back into the lineup from a benching, so there's that going for him.

His post-healthy-scratch play doesn't usually fall off a cliff for at least 3 or 4 games.
