Seems to elevate his game in big moments as well. Goalies are so hard to be definite on. Look at Forsberg ; bounced around , up and down, on waivers and then bam he's an NHL goalie and a good one .. They can come out of no where and there have been enough cases where they didn't pan out at all. I heard there is at least one that won a couple cups and then seemingly fell apart and didn't get their game back. Ed Belfour, Curtis Joseph, Terry Sawchuk, Tony Esposito... were all undrafted.. that list is long. Sogaard looks to be doing well but its the position. Only one plays. Merilainen can steal the net with hot playSogaard, Merilainen and Jarventie may have more upside, but it's hard to pass up the guaranteed NHLer in Ostapchuk
Think he has a pretty good chance to develop into a Nick Paul-type player. Big body with good skating that can put up 30-40P a year while providing above-average defensive play.
Where did I say he finish developing? My point is they need to do everything in their power to help him have success in order for the team to have success. Most goalies dont even make the NHL until they are 25+. Soogard has tons of raw ability. He's a better prospect than Merilainen, he moves way better he is bigger.
Soogard is probably the best prospect the sens have if they all reach their potential. Just hard to predict goalies because most of it is between the ears. He has alot of raw talent though.
Why on earth would he be finished developing?
He's 22 and has played 85 total pro games in this life.

Just re-read my post with Patrick Roy's accent and my typo will make more senseSogaard is Danish, it's Merilainen who is Finnish
