GDT: Sens at Sabres; 7:00 p.m. EDT, March 25, 2025

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

If any late season lessons or wins would EVER carry over to the next season in any way…sure.

They’ve proven beyond a doubt that none of this matters for literally anything than confirmation bias from the dumb people running the team

Picking 4-10 doesn't really matter much either. It's likely the player is at least one year away from the NHL and more from being productive.

I don’t care about losing for a pick, but I DO care about losing for general embarrassment. That’s the stuff. Good news is, onesy twosy wins don’t ruin embarrassment the way they ruin tanking for draft spot. Still fun win they win.

While true, if the Sabres end up with a Zacha instead of a Marner because they decided to get their act together when it didn’t matter for the millionth time I will probably kill myself

Exactly. I start applauding when they win when it actually matters.
For now this just seems like groundhog day.
Win meaningless games at the end and start the next season unprepared and be basically outside the picture until thanksgiving.

Eh, they were in playoff position at Thanksgiving this year even if it was 8th in the conference.

This is where I'm at, but I'm also not watching the game, so wins mean nothing to me.

On a positive note, I am fine with them stompin' out the Sens, though their last two wins seem more luck based than them actually outplaying their opponent (stat watching, of course)

Why cant they winn like this the whole season ?
I missed most of the first period, and sounds like we got outplayed.

Rest of the game I didn't think we played poorly, but the numbers still favored the sens by a lot. I think we just had the better goalie and finishing last night. First goal took an insane pass, 2nd was low % point shot. Tages goal was the only one we really got from what felt like sustained pressure

Didnt see the game but just notice they winn in the end of season always, so if they can winn more during the whole season

Peterka and Quinn had some nice chemistry this game. Looked like a couple years ago when they were on a heater with Cozens at center.

Even though Ottawa is way ahead of us in the standings (15 points!), I don’t think they are actually that much better than us. Marginally better IMO. Idk what it is about this Sabres team, but they seem to play as less than the sum of their parts a lot of nights.
