He's a future 1st liner ... Book it
I just don’t understand how he can think the game at this level this young at this level of competition. I get hockey IQ and I know he had that and compete in surplus. But still. He’s like…never lost. It’s even more impressive because he doesn’t have the physical gifts to make up for errors. He’s not fast or strong enough to make up space. He’s just already there. Willingness goes a long way…but this boy is SMART.

Eh.....I like the way Beck plays...but I certainly think Greenway and McLeod are better defensively as well. Maybe Tuch as well

I'd definitely put Greenway and Mcleod in the group of 'good' defensive forwards, but I'll just say that if they played with the linemates that Beck has, you might feel differently about them.

Tuch has his strengths defensively, but there are some glaring mental lapses in his own zone that have been seared into my brain that i can't unsee.

I'm not one to dump on Krebs, but if the Sabres were thinking he would end up as the regular 4C, Kozak makes him expendable imho. Just seems like a more reliable player already at 22 with 16 games under his belt, than Krebs is at 24 in his 4th full season.

Redundancy is a good thing to have with bottom 6 players with their style of play. I'm keeping both until the finances and team control become an issue with one of them.

I think this is the reason why. Necessity and all that.
