They save on airfare because Vancouver in town?
Soooo why are we trading a pick?
Not going to lie. That was my first thought. LolThey save on airfare because Vancouver in town?

Tom Pyatt isn't exactly a hot commodity, especially for a team who isn't pushing the playoffs full on. Pretty much eating his contract.Soooo why are we trading a pick?

So my next question is did we add or cut salary?
Don't really see the point of this deal. The players involved cancel each other out and then we also give up the standard throw-in draft pick.
Even though this is a small move, I like this from a Canucks perspective.
Make some space for Demko, get another pick, get a better player than Archibald in Pyatt. Decent move.
Archibald is a puppy at the NHL level. He's supposed to be a tough guy that plays on your 4th line. Does a lot of floating around. Great AHLer though. Fan favorite in Utica where he will sorely be missed. Just like Demko
Most interesting thing here is the Canucks now have 3 6th round picks in 2019.
