TORONTO, ON- The CWHL started off their All-Star Weekend with a bang when the CWHL announced on Friday that the Clarkson Cup Final will be held in Ottawa at the Canadian Tire Centre during the weekend of March 11-13. The dates for the final were printed on the back of All-Star Game programs handed out during the Frozen Fantasy Draft.

What makes this news even more exciting is that this is a two-year deal for the CWHL- the league will host the Clarkson Cup Final in Ottawa at the Canadian Tire Centre this year and the following season.

Nice to see David Clarkson spending his money wisely.

That would be a fun thing to watch though, hopefully it gets good attendance.

Very misleading thread title. It's off topic, and it's OTTAWA hosting these random people.

Move this please mod.

I did not realize that it was held in a neutral location; that might not help attendance much itself. Montreal is pretty good though and have the best female player on the planet, so there's probably a pretty good chance that they will be there.

Anyway good for the Sens and a good chance to see some of the players you watch every four years at the Olympics. Maybe they're testing the waters to start a team here in Ottawa.

Attendance is awful in the host cities so for the league this is likely about making some extra cash.

If they price it right attendance would or should be very good just take the Capital Classic two of the best mens university basketball teams and they get between 9,000-13,000 each year.

Tickets will cost $20.00 which i am not sure how well they will do at that price.
