DJ has no balls. Nobody gets shortened minutes when they suck ass, guy needed his old pal Hamonic to do his dirty work.
They should have had to send the Mounties on the ice to physically DRAG him off after hitting him with a stun-gun.

That's the kind of goalie I want.

The kind of goalie that swims in a pool full of razor blades and then says, "Yeah, you think that's tough, well, I rolled around in a pile of salt before hand, so get a load of that!"

You know, a guy who slashes his wrists with his skates, bleeding uncontrollably all over the place, rather than give up his rightful place. "I'm not leaving, I'll DIE here if I have to!"
Our boy Kepa right before the penalties lol.

You guys are ripping the coach but...

What is with the lack of incredulity and emotion from Forsberg here? Where's the "what the heck Hamonic?! Go tell coach I'm not coming off". Where is the head-shaking at the bench. He just kind of takes it and skates off. I want my goalies to have some Patrick Roy arrogance, some Marty Brodeur swagger, some Shesterkin ego in them.

Forsberg just showed that he is weak and that is not good quality in the goalie position.
The body language says he just doesn't care.

My avatars and the name under are getting old

I'm a broken record since January 2021 but the DJ Dorion era has to end

Almost 3 years already...

I’d expect my goalie to tie himself to the posts, honestly. They’d need security, and security might need the actual police. Like- that’s a goalie. Don’t listen to your boss, don’t do the thing it makes sense for you to do- no, f***ing stand your ground, get a charge, and show them you are that committed to appearing dedicated, while still being bad, in this October game.

To bash composure is weird. Forsberg does not help neither team or himself by crying or showing anger. He might have spoken with coach after the game.

The entire Sens team becomes incredibly flaccid when they are losing.

Smith told Hamonic to tell the goalie he was pulled?

Often coaches just do the “c’mere” hand gesture and that’s enough.

The issue is that it was the start of the period, and Forsberg was in the crease getting ready to start playing again.

It’s hard to imagine how a coach decides not to start a goalie for the following period, and somehow does not relay that decision to the goalie. Truly a perplexing thing to see.

Honestly I don't know why people are eviscerating the coach so much for this.

He must have just forgotten to tell Forsberg. He decided to change goalies but he also had to worry about all of the other players so he forgot, there's just so much on his mind, he lacks vets on the team, the Sens are very young on average so maybe he just had other little babysitting things to do like telling Stutzle not to cherry-pick or dive too much or the refs will notice and he just forgot.

So this is odd on a few fronts.... It makes me wonder if he got caught up in some other type of discussion or situation. Normally when you make a goalie change, you tell the backup to get ready, you will be going in and then you grab the starter for a second.

I'm not sure how Korpisalo wasn't already over the boards and telling Forsberg he's taking over.. to have a Dman do it... that may never happen again... anywhere.

So the coach wants new goalie, but doesn't even tell him like 30 seconds earlier while they were still in the locker-room? Or was he trying to embarrass him!

Exactly. Forsberg isn't even putting in an effort here!

Should have been the first thing out of his mouth as soon as he hit the locker room imo, gives the guy coming in a chance to start getting his focus after sittting on the bench for two periods.

Is it the end of the world? Nah, but it does speak to a coach that may not be as organized as he should be.

Dude was probably in such shock he didn't know how to react.
