He was such a unique character, but I feel like because of our years on the board I could always come up with a ''What would DD say?'' on any hockey related topic. I can't do that with Ranger Doggo, as he wasn't as prominent of a figure. DD just stuck out and was unique, but as unique as he was, I always seem to have an answer for how he would feel about a certain development or what take he would have on almost anything.

Like, after this game, I think he'd be telling us it was a great win, but to watch out because later this year we'll be fighting for position with Ottawa, and maybe how we can't take Arizona lightly as they've just shutout a very tough NYb team in their own building. I'm sure there'd be a mention about the Rags scoring 8 tonight and how they've been awoken and how impressive of a victory the CBJ had tonight over a white hot Flyers team and how they'll be getting themselves back into the race shortly.

I'm not sure if it was legit or not, but his last post on the night he last logged on was him telling the Rangers board he was becoming a fan because we have a culture of losing.

He actually made a post last year which I distinctly remember he said he couldn't take the losing much longer and didn't know how much longer he could be a fan of this team. It was something to that effect. I wish I could find it.

Lol I used to lurk HFBoards when he used to post, he had to be a rival fan posing as a Devils fan because his posts were always so weird. Devils could be up 4-0 in a game against the Rangers and DD would still think the Rangers would come back and win the game or say their roster was better than ours.

Well this is a lot of fun. Making up for some years of frustration. I really couldn’t have imagined the script for this one with Schmid making those OT saves and then we win it 7 seconds into our power play. I will definitely remember this game. It’s why you follow hockey.
