I think you have to play Price tonight. Sens only playoff team we play for awhile and Price can get all the rest he needs after this one. Too important a win not to play him.

Bring in Martinsen and McCarron and we're good to go as Ottawa bound to get dirty if we're beating them again. Also think Emelin slots in for Davidson who struggled a bit last night.

Patches Chucky Rads
Lehk Danault Shaw
Byron Plex Gally
Martinsen Ott McCarron

Markov Weber
Emelin Petry
Beau Benn

You have my vote with that line-up. Though I would still keep Davidson over Emelin. I've liked Davidson.

I agree about giving Price the start. During the week, we have a game against Detroit and another against Carolina. I say, give Montoya one of those two and Price will be in for the other of those and the Ottawa game next Saturday.

Martinsen has only played 3 games with the Habs, but I liked him in all three. Against NYR he was a force to be reckoned with. The following games he played, he wasn't delivering shattering hits but he was real useful out there, defensively and offensively.

At least they gained one point last night. It would really be nice to get the two points tonight while not giving them one.

Sunday's game is the most important game yet this season, the Habs are playing like a team possessed with being the best every night, I love the Habs chances of taking the SC this year. A little early for that kind of optimism, but the Habs are just hitting their stride, the momentum they are gaining right now, will serve them well in the long playoff run. Depth is great throughout the lineup, with many "Black Aces" keeping in shape in St.John's, in case fresh legs are needed in the early days of June, No Pressure!!!...:laugh::laugh:

Go Habs Go!!!...:handclap::handclap::handclap:

Let's serve warning to the playoff opponents to avoid playing the Habs, if at all possible. Playoff Hockey is back in Montreal early this year, perfect!!!...:nod::nod:

No matter the time of day, we can always count on you to give us our inspirational post!!! :handclap:

Love your enthusiasm....:yo:

Not sure if we can pull off a long playoff run, but I do know, that we are in better hands with CJ at the helm, than Da Clown.

I agree with you on Emelin and would rather any of our D over him at this time as he seems to have lost his confidence. I just think it's unlikely Julien leaves him out of back to back games when he sees Emelin as an integral part of our D. That's why he's in my lineup as well as the fact he's more rested which is also why I added Martinsen and Big Mac. Fresh blood in a hard faught back to back that can grind and tire out the opposition.

That's what playoff hockey is all about, a battle of attrition & ammunition, the Habs are well prepared for a long gruelling playoff run. The depth of quality defencemen with experience is huge in the playoffs, having the big bodies that can wear down the opposition can't ever be underestimated, IMHO!!!...:nod::nod:

All the Habs SCC's teams always had that ability, along with great goaltending, & game breaking scoring from each line. The Habs have addressed all of these points with the acquisitions before the TDL, taking the pressure away from a handful of players, each line can play their role well. Having great depth of experienced NHLers, that can step into the lineup, is just as valuable to winning the SC as any addition to offence. GM's are quite aware of how valued are those character type role players, Marc Bergevin certainly has proven this fact. Julien's hiring was icing on the cake, IMHO!!!...:nod::nod:
The Habs are ready, Go Habs Go!!!...:handclap::handclap::handclap:

Ott has been a great addition. Such a solid move. King may have finally found a bit of a groove.

My biggest concern is no one seems to mesh with Petry. You can't blame Emelin on how poorly #26 played last night. Markov was the only D that Petry seemed to have any flow with with.

Do you guys remember our game against the Leafs in January when Babcock played Andersen on back to back nights? He was completely out of gas in that game, our AHL team scored 5 goals on him that night.

And Price is a lock to give up 3 goals against the Sens as is.

Montoya will do just fine.

Stop exaggerating with the "Price is a lock to give up 3" nonsense. He made 44 saves to shutout these terrifying Sens in a elimination playoff game. Nothing's ever a lock when you have a top goalie. That being said, I have a feeling beating the Senators two nights in a row will be very difficult regardless of whose in goal so I would go Montoya.

Why are you comparing Price to Andersen?

Emelin Petry has not been good. How about switching Emelin with Beaulieu ? And agree to play Price tonight.

Exaggerating? And what would you call focusing on a single game at the expense of ignoring 4 years of data that says otherwise?

Price sucks against the Sens as is when he's rested, throwing him out there tonight could cost us the game.

Hate these kind of stats. So let's compare his stats against this 1 team vs. his stats against another 29 combined. It makes absolutely no sense. It's an imbalanced comparison.
