Well, those things yes but also a lack of talent at every skater position. I think I saw Gilbertson say they were one faceoff loss off of having their worst performance ever in the dot against the Bruins.

I was hell bent on the Flames drafting Hendrix Lapierre, boy was I wrong.

I was also hell bent on the Flames tanking that season to go for Laf because I was him play in junior and was awe-struck. Rangers got him and low and behold he's mid.
